All Church administration is done currently in 2 rooms within the General Secretary's Manse and that includes the Book Store for all Synod Literature, bookings for conferences and seminars at the Rock Haven Lay Center and hosting of any small committees on HIV/AIDS, Small to Medium Enterprises (SMEs) training among other things. Large gatherings are held in different churches in cities that may see other participants having to catch more than one transport to get there. The currently under construction Head Office will bring all these portfolios under one floor and more staff to work on the service projects like HIV/AIDS, Women in Projects, Orphans and Elderly Care, Youth in Action, Men & Women's Guilds among other programs.

In Memory of Rev David Ponchisi

Breaking News!

The CCAP Harare Synod Rev David Ponchisi passed on in the early hours of Monday June 1, 2010 and was buried in Bulawayo on June 3, 2010. We got a call around 4 am on the same day from The synod General Secretary Rev Boloma with the shocking news. Harare Synod is still coming to grips with this breaking news as we can not believe our stay in NY with him was the last we where to share on Synod Business out of the country. Never the less, God calls at our appointed time and the comfort and solace comes from the Holy Spirit.

Rev Ponchisi had stopped over in Bulawayo to seek medical check up on his way from a Zimbabwe Council of Churches (ZCC) Conference in Kariba which had ended on Friday. He was not feeling well and needed expert opinion before proceeding to Hwange where he was ministering and stays with his family. It is such a sad loss because the Reverend had such great potential in leading Harare Synod at this point. Never the less, the Lord has different plans for Harare Synod and we will put our faith in Him and allow His will to be done.

May his soul rest in peace as he awaits the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Please remember his wife and children in your prayers and pray without stopping for Harare Synod to carry on the good work he had started in his short but very intensive stay in the office of the Moderator for Harare Synod.
