CCAP Harare Synod

I am disturbed by how things are going on in CCAP. I have seen a lot of changes in the past decade and I have confidence that we (CCAP) can do better. One thing that worries me most is we now have different ways of conducting a Sunday Service. Decisions that are made do not truely reflect the will of the people as a united church. There is communication breakdown from bottom to top. Sometimes there is no consultation from church members. Congregational Session do not know what is being expected from them by the Synod and vis-versa. Programmes and Policies are not explained fully before implementation and also the research is not done openly and independently so that they will benefit everyone. The issue of a contractor on our CCAP offices is not explained fully so that our congregations will have enough knowledge before they support the deal. We have issues which are being researched on like healing and tongues but they dont have the timeframe for the research. I had that the research on mass prayer is now complete but nothing have been submitted to mpingos although they have submitted the document to the executive so that they take their positions before the Synod meet. I think the document should be seen by church members so that they put down their comments. Lack of knowledge and communication will cause the church to split. A research should have a timeframe.

A good example is we have an urgent meeting coming soon but after consulting some mpingos they said they have done some urgent sessions to select or endorse a representative and not to discuss the agendas so that the representative will go to the meeting with the cogregational position. Some mpingos did not meet at all.

Allow me to ask for efficiency in our church as a whole so that we will be able to create a welcoming church to those who want to be saved. I ask for a proper functioning of our church systems.
